Week #16

looking back at the beginning of 2015 i was a freshman. freshman year was okay. i was in softball that time and i got to pitch a lot as a freshman. thats awesome! not many people get that chance. the thing that upset me was it was early in softball and i was starting to have back problems. i had a moment during softball practice when we were doing our stretches and i went to sit up from laying down and i couldnt. i couldnt pull myself up. i started freaking out and crying. i had to have coach and another team mate pull me up. thats where it began. i couldnt play much softball either i had to stop pitching when my back hurt. later on after softball i had gotten an MRI and they told me i had a herniated disk and spondylolithesis which they told me was one of my lumbars in my back pushed forward out of line. i was supposed to show cattle this past summer and i did but i wasnt able to lead my calf a lot and carry heavy things. luckily everything went well with therapy and i am fine now. volleyball started when my back hurt too but everything happened so quickly i was able to play a full season of volleyball. now i am studying for finals and i am ready for christmas.

Week #15

Since Raine Showers has stolen the top secret weather controlling machine from the government i have to find a way to break into his house and get it back. So i writ up this huge plan and im ready for it then i sit down and think it cant be that hard to get it back so i throw my paper away. i decided im going to just walk in and take it when he isnt home. So the next day i walk in and his mother is home i tell her im his friend and i am going to take it off of his hands for a couple of days. i take it and take it back to the government and they catch Raine Showers He ends up in jail and we end up having a winter with snow after all for Christmas.

Week #14

Well you see i am sitting at the kitchen table and i am eating my supper. i HATE onions and i had onions in my spaghetti. next thing i know everything is upside down. i get really angry because i havent even done my homework yet. i just knew that every thing was going to go downhill from there. so i tried to do my homework and i couldnt concentrate because i still couldnt believe that everything was upside down so i decided maybe this is just a dream. i tried to go to sleep but it was so uncomfortable. i sat there for hours trying to figure out how im going to get everything back to the way it was but apparently it wore off and i had fallen asleep and woke up and BAMMM everything is back to normal.

Week #13

since i am typing this and thanksgiving has passed im just going to say what parts i enjoyed. i had two thanksgivings to go to in one day. my first one started at twelve and i enjoyed the food and getting to see some people i havent seen in a while. my second thanksgiving started at two and man was i already stuffed from the one before but i knew that my family makes some good food so i had to some how find room in my stomach for their food. it was so delicious and it was the best tasting turkey i have had in a long time. you know what though? the food is great but my favorite part is being with my family. i have such a wonderful time when my family is together because i am thankful for them and for everything they do for me.

Week #12

To my best friends who i love so much. I really appreciate you guys. you both make me laugh and we have great times together and hopefully more to come. there has been a lot of great memories with each of you. maddy remember when we first met? We went to the same church in Lowpoint and we danced up and down the aisles to the church music. i also remember when you got put with the little kid group because nobody knew how old u were and you were short. that was pretty funny and i know that we both can laugh about that. we are more like sisters because we have been friends for so long. so kelsie we havent really been friends forever but i do remember the time when you invited me and mik over for your birthday and your step brother had a crush on me. that was pretty funny. The one moment that i cant forget is who u said my mom reminded you of when we were in the car. that was really funny but kind of mean. anyway i appreciate you both and dont EVER forget that!

Week #11

So I decided to clean my closet and I saw a pair of shoes that I thought I have never owned because they have been sitting in there for a long time and just as I was going to grab them I noticed a door knob. I started to open the door and it got really bright. See the door was small so I had to crawl through to get into the other "room". The first part of the room was all shiny and there were medals and trophies everywhere. Then there was a sliding barn door that was to another room. I opened it and it went to an indoor arena and it was big and beautiful. Then to the right of me was another door and it led outside to a barn with lots of calves that were being fitted to show. Passing through that door in my closet was the best thing ever.

Week #10

I had fun this year for Halloween when taking my cousins trick or treating so in this blog I would have dressed up as Michael Myer. Do I have powers? Haha I would only have the "powers" Michael has in his movies. It would be bad being Michael Myer for the night but it would also be gross because of what he does. I would never be able to do that and what if I couldn't control my mind. What if she turned me into him and i wasn't able to think for myself and I had his mind? That would be one terrible night for a lot of people. hopefully it would not end up like that.

Week #9

Since i would be as small as an ant i would definitely want to get ms. hudsons attention to make me my normal size. I would start by trying to climb up on her desk in her classroom and that would probably be an all night thing. I wouldn't want to do it during the day because the other students in the school could see me. So once I got on top of her desk I would try my best to lift one of her normal people pencils off of her desk to write a note. I would say ms. Hudson please find a way to turn your students back to normal sized students. After I was done with the note I fell asleep and covered up with one of the post-it note papers to wait and see what she would do the next day.

Week #8

Why is the sky color the way it is? Well it is because during the day the planes that take off at different airports have blue color dye in them and they leave blue that spreads throughout the whole sky. The blue does not stay in one spot when they fly. It keeps spreading and spreading until it fills everywhere in the sky. At dusk when we get the pretty view once in a while it is because there is only a few SPECIAL planes that have pretty colors that make the view in the sky towards the west. Only the SPECIAL planes are allowed to take off around that time because they have such beautiful colors.

Week #7

The scariest moment i have had that i can think of right now is when i was nine and showing cattle. I mentioned it in one of my previous blogs. I was showing at Jr. Nationals which was held at the state fair that year. They had people in the ring that would hold your heifer's halter if they were getting antsy and i was young so they tool my heifer and held her until she was calm. I was paying attention to my heifer at the time because i was standing behind her and i didn't want her to get scared and kick me. I don't remember much after that until i opened my eyes and i was on my back out side of the show arena. i was told that a teen didn't have control of his calf and it ran into me and i flew a couple feet out of the door and landed on my back. i learned how to put my comb in my pocket after that because i landed on my comb in my pocket and it hurt my behind. i wasn't able to walk because i hurt so my uncle carried me to the bathroom to let me check and make sure i was okay. after Jr. Nationals that year i never wanted to show again because i was too scared that might happen again. i ended up changing my mind and started showing again at age twelve.

Week #6

So i am in a scary movie and i am with my friends Maddy and Kelsie and we all live in California. We like to do fun things like surf, party and play sports. one day we hear on the television that there has been a crime/murder and two girls were robbed and killed. this was right in the area that they lived in too. us girls had gotten a little frightened and we locked our doors and didn't leave each other for a week. no matter where we went we all stuck together and did everything together. then two weeks later there was pounding on the door in the middle of the night and no one wanted to answer but the murderer got in and killed us all one by one. the first to go was me, then Maddy, and last was Kelsie.

Week #5

My favorite book that i have read is about this girl that wants to show cattle at the county fair and she wants to beat the competition she has with this other family. I would like to be a part of that because i can connect to the book because i show cattle and i love it. This year i won reserve grand champion heifer in my class and in the book she wins her class. she is so happy about it and i was too. i feel like if i were to visit that "world" it would be fun and i would get along with the main character vary well.

Week #4

An urban legend that i have heard that most people probably have heard also is the bloody marry one. At first of course i thought it was true and i was scared and didn't want to try it because i didn't want to harm myself. I heard some of my friends say that they tried it and it didn't work. there are some people that say oh its true to try and scare you into thinking its really true. this urban legend went on for some time then nobody talked about it anymore. there are other urban legends out there but this is the one i thought of first.

week #3

I don't really have a favorite song or a special song that is important to me but I listen to a lot of country music. When i am in a bad mood i listen to music to calm down and clear my mind. Around fall i like to listen to the song Harvest Time by Luke Bryan because it explains a lot. It talks about living in a small town and harvesting and i can relate to that. I love to help harvest. when i first heard this song i had to go back and listen to it more closely because i felt a connection. i think i reacted like that because i like to hear songs about farming because i can make a connection. I would recommend this song to my peers and friends even though a lot of my friends are not about the country life its still a great song.

Week #2

I think I am good at showing cattle. I have been showing cattle at the age of seven. I have had a lot of experience with cattle and I have been to many shows. At seven years old I showed a calf and her name was Ruby. Then at eight I showed Tina. At nine I showed Maddie. That year I decided to show at the county fair and Jr. Nationals. At Jr. Nationals I was ran into and flew out of the show arena which was a couple of feet. I stopped showing after that because I was afraid. I started showing again at thirteen and I showed Cumberland and this past year I showed Layla. Through out those years i have won many ribbons and this past summer I won senior showmanship and had the opportunity to show in master showmanship. Master showmanship is where you show a cow, pig and sheep but you CAN'T show your own. The highlight of that was getting to show with my friends that won senior showmanship before and I showed a steer and he licked my hand the whole time I was trying to show him.

Week #1

This year school is going great so far. I am glad to be back at school but also missing summer a little bit too. My classes this year are harder than last year so far. I  have decided to take two Metamora classes in the morning which are Horticulture and Vet Tech. So far I enjoy Horticulture over Vet Tech even though I like animals more. I am sure my mind will change as the year goes on. My most challenging classes this year are Vet Tech and somewhat English. Of course the rest of my classes would be my easy classes. I am looking forward to yearbook again this year and Driver Ed. A goal this year for myself would be to get my grades higher than last year. Every year I look forward to sports and hanging out with friends during the school year so I am sure this school year will be a blast.
